Tokyo in the wee hours -

A friend has convinced me to go to a late gig in Tokyo on Fri night/Sat morning. I'm rather looking forward to it.
We have one problem however....it'll be finished before 5 and the shops and stuff in tokyo dont open till 10. getting a hotel for such a short stay is a waste. we live only 2 hours from tokyo and may as well take the first train home as do that, whilst in tokyo though i would like to geek out in akiba rather than running right home. is there anything we can do in the small hours to fill our time?

The manga cafes exist yeah, they're quite famous as places people who miss their last train crash.
Some friends of mine had a right pain finding one when they had the idea to sleep there though, they don't look kindly on foreigners. In the end I didn't go to my all night thing and just slept at a friend's house. Nonetheless for the future I am still interested in this!
