A teenage girl buys a used car, it's a piece of junk, her friends insult it, and slowly, the friends who insulted it gets killed, and she learns her car is evil and gets rid of it. It comes back to her, then she well, don't wanna ruin the ending...

Not just curses, but also demons and ghosts. If you check out wikipedia, they should give you info on it.

Hm. The movie is about a car that's haunted and at night, when it's driven, the radio starts screwing up and has a deformed voice coming out of it. While the driver's distracted, a girl appears in front of the headlights and gets run over. She then reappears in the backseat, bloodied.

Those of you interested in Japanese spirits and monsters, I strongly encourage you to read "Kwaidan" by Lafcadio Hearn.
Hearn was in some ways the original gaijin otaku - he moved to Japan more than a century ago, took a Japanese wife, learned the language, and adopted many Japanese customs. As he travelled through Japan, he heard so many spirits and ghost stories the he decided to write them in English... the result was "Kwaidan," a collection of short stories about these spirits and demons. I think it was published around 1904, but it's still in print today. |
