Help identifying traditional clothing -
10-08-2017, 06:46 PM
Hello! I hope this is the right place to post this.
I recently found an old picture of my grandma wearing what looks like (to me) some traditional Japanese clothing. It's a very old picture, and sadly there's no one we can ask for more information (other than forums like this). Can anyone here tell me anything about the outfit? Like, would it be worn for any specific event? It looks like formal wear, similar to a traditional bride's outfit, but I'm not very knowledgeable in that area. Here's the picture: https://i.imgur.com/i0ApQG5.jpg?1 Any information anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much. |

Yes, it is Japanese traditional bridal wear. The hair style is called as "BUNKIN-TAKASHIMADA".
