Japan discriminate against foreigners?

I heard that foreigners must register the fingerprints for "Security Reasons".And there was even a foreigners protest about that.Is that true?And what do you think?

I just wanted to know if that was true.I don't think Japan is wrong doing that.If you go to any country you must respect the rules of that country.But if USA does that too why there were americans protesting about that at Japan?That is senseless.
