03-19-2007, 12:03 AM
Experience unparalleled access to Japan and become a “Global Citizen” with the World Campus - Japan program starting in July 2007! Based in Tokyo, a Japanese non profit applicant organization called World Campus International promises participants and Japanese community partners an opportunity to connect and develop Global Citizenship skills through the authentic backdrop of corporate, social and family life in Japan. This includes: • Visiting major cities and communities in Japan • In-depth interaction with businesses and organizations • Staying in Japanese host families Our approach creates an unforgettable learning environment where each city has specific themes enabling you unparalleled access to Japanese society. Community activists, politicians and business leaders will all take part in each city of our tour inspiring both program participants and local community members alike. We will be working with real global issues today such as: • Urban Renewal • Peace & Conflict • Corporate Social Responsibility • International Business • Japanese & Chinese Relations Getting “hands on” will take many forms on our tour. Activities include beginners and advanced levels of practical Japanese language training. Or for example, as part of the Peace & Conflict theme in Hiroshima, our class may attend a memorial service where Prime Minister Abe of Japan reflects on the past and inspires hope for a future without weapons of mass destruction. And finally when words are not enough to communicate, celebrate the chance to connect through culture, music and art expression. Our International Celebration Event is a “performance – presentation” where we share our diverse cultures as well as enjoy the fascinating music, dance and art of Japan. Check out our 4 week, 8 week or 12 week sessions at World Campus International! |
