Unless you are from England, you won't find Japan all that hot or humid. The weather is similar to that of the east coast of America. It's raining today, which is normal for June, but it's also cold, which is unusual.

It definitely is cockroach season though, I found one in my kitchen, and another in my bathroom. In Japan they are quite big and reddish looking. I put out traps last week, and I haven't seen any since.

Late october is, to me the best time to go because the fall colors have come out. Check out some pictures on the web if you haven't seen it before. I think the fall colors in Japan are the most beautiful thing in the world. That's one of the things I liked best when I lived there and still try to plan my trips accordingly.

A question about electronics in Japan:

I'm looking to buy an iPod in the electronics district in Tokyo-- Does anyone know what sort of prices I'd be looking at?

Also, can anyone recommend any good blogs that are accounts of a person's trip to Japan?
