Tokyo Souvenirs -

It's hard to answer the question without knowing what your interests are.
Some people might want CDs or magazines or manga that you can only get in Japan. Some might want some fashion items (Japanese streetwear, Porter bags, sneakers). Some people might want food or anime action figures or electronic gadgets from the Akihabara area of Tokyo. Then there are those who prefer traditional Japanese souvenirs like a yukata or chopsticks or calligraphy scrolls. Tokyo has so many unique things, it's hard to say what souvenirs would be interesting to someone without knowing their interests. Maybe you can just ask him to take you with him to Tokyo so you can pick your own souvenirs. |

I agree, the list goes on, but then I don't think Tokyo has anything that can really "represent" Japan, but it all comes down to if you want something like that (which will means something more traditional and have some sort of cultural representation, I personally like those Daruma dolls) or if you just want something from Tokyo that you can consume/use

A tip for the more risque souvenir and its free.
In Akihabara go into one of the many adult software shops and grab a handfull of game flyers (normally by the exit). These flyers are well presented and also quite naughty. They also take up very little space in your luggage. |
