I'd go Tokyo for this trip. Then save up and go outside Tokyo.

I'd go with Tokyo.

There is a lot to do in Tokyo, but I would probably run out of things to do in Tokyo in 10 days, but could spend a much longer time traveling all over Japan.

I would say Tokyo, but if i had more time to spend other than ten days then i'll definately go elsewhere in japan.

Luckily for me, I get to spend time in Tokyo AND have a few months travelling around Japan in Nov.
