It's not clear to me, either. I don't know how much of the $1,355 per person is the flight and how much is the hotel.
HERE: I just did a search for a flight by itself using the same dates and airports as before. For one person, the flight is $1063. However, you also need to keep in mind that Expedia saves you money when you book things together. I'm terrified of going to Japan and getting lost or something. If you really insist that everything is as simple as you say it is, alright. Please recommend a different hotel for me. One in Tokyo, preferably, because it's more or less right between Muscle Park and Midoriyama. Also, a low priced one. Then, during our free time, we'll wander around Tokyo and look for things to do. Just wandering, though. I'm not one for sight-seeing and stuff like that. |

I'd take it. You can take the limousine bus from the airport, which is probably easier than taking the train, even.

I like that airport limousine thing, but that was flying into tokyo. Expedia changed my destination from Narita to Tokyo for some reason. >.>
When I fly into Narita, the hotels (all seven of them) are close to each other. Because of this, I think I'll just stay in the Hilton. It's the cheapest and it has a fitness room and pool so I can continue my work outs until I'm on the show. Say I want to go to Tokyo anyway, though. We could just catch a train and then explore Tokyo to our hearts' content. Which train would we use from the Hilton to a nice part of Tokyo with lots to do? Also, how do you find out all this stuff about the trains, like which one to take and stuff? Is there an online reference? |

Tokyo and Narita should be the same airport (check the airport code NRT).
In terms of what to do in Tokyo, that really depends on what you are into. http://www.japanforum.com/forum/japa...-go-tokyo.html http://www.japanforum.com/forum/japa...725-tokyo.html http://www.japanforum.com/forum/japa...ide-tokyo.html I would consider the fact that if you want to work out all day, you can do that at any hotel. If your companions want to explore, they might resent having to travel 30 minutes by train (give or take) to see sites, when the other hotel you mentioned is in the middle of the action. But that's the last I'll say on that. Go to the website of the hotel and you can see links in English to traveling around. There really couldn't be more information out there. Well, I guess since money is tight this time around, we'll simply fly into Narita and stay at the Hilton, since it's the cheapest. The only thing we'd be doing is going to Muscle Park (and the rest of the mall) several times that week. and going to Midoriyama once or twice.
What about the trains? Where do I need to go from the Hilton hotel to get to the train station that will take me to Muscle Park? Midoriyama? And the Narita Hilton's website only gave me information about the buses and taxis, and that was only to and from the Narita International Airport. I meant is there a website with train station locations, routes and schedules? |

The show has been filmed at the outdoor field of "Midoriyama studio (city)" in Aoba-ku,Yokohama-city, Kanagawa prefecture. The large studio located in suburb is a studio of TBS(a TV station) broadcasting that show.
Access: From Shinjuku, take Odakyū Line & get off the train at Turukawa station (it seems to the nearest train station to Midoriyama studio.) to transfer to the bus bound for Narakita-danchi via Kodomono-kuni" and get off at "Midoriyama studio bus station" It will take around 1 hour or more because the bus don't come frequntly. Dude, why not stay in Yokohama?...that will be a LONG ride from Narita, as it is on the OTHER side of Tokyo, and there are surely limousine buses going from Narita airport to Yokohama... http://www.midoriyama.co.jp/access/index.html 10 minutes by taxi from JR Nagatsuta Station (Yokohama line) 10 minutes by taxi from JR Naruse Station (Yokohama line) By car, from your hotel to Midoriyama studios is over 100km, and will take 2 hours with a little luck. There is no direct train line from Narita to the studio. So basically you are taking the easy way out to get to the hotel only to dig a huge pit for yourself to get to the studio. I am not sure how many hours it would take by train to get there (including changes) but I would say you are wearing "Bad Idea" jeans right now. |
