I can't imagine you are going to doing so much traveling on trains within Tokyo that a pass would be worth it. Also, keep in mind that the pass is only for JR trains, and will not work on other trains (like subways) so I would just buy as you go...within Tokyo I don't think I have spent more than 20 or 25 dollars a day riding the train.
