tokyo cheap business hotel - 01-02-2011, 05:36 PM

I need to find the cheapest en-suite twin room in a central Toyko area for a week in June. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

(basically a hotel very close to a JR station on the chuo-sobu or yamanote lines, even if a minor station it pretty much has to be one on of these lines as we will have the JR pass and not much money for other company lines, and are two weak feeble girls who will struggle with cases and the crazy amount of shopping we will end up doing and will be travelling about most days to neighbouring places and the afternoons/evenings in akiba, shibuya/shinjuku, ikebukuro etc so need to be on main transport without changing trains 3times! )

Ideally I want to be near Uneo/okachimachi/kanda/akihabara as I know this area the best, but if there are cheaper areas this doesn't matter as much.
The hotels I stayed in before are cheap for doubles but expensive for twins so I am stuck

I am pretty much decided on a Toyoko Inn just trying to find one near a suitable station for a suitable price, got my list of them but before I go down that route wondered if there were any other chains or cheap hotels I could research?

I want to pay <9000Y a night for the room and it must have en-suite shower cause we both agree we don't want to share a shower with unknown guests, snobby as it may sound it would ruin the holiday for us.

The room can be teeny tiny with very few other facilities, we don't care about that.

Thanks JF

There is no announcement in English though it is fully found if it is a Japanese site.(´・ω・`)

Example....
rakuten(Surrounding of Ueno)

Siokan,

Rakuten has an English site which can be found here :
[Rakuten Travel] Japan's Hotel and Ryokan reservation mega site

They have some good prices if you book early enough. Good luck!

You might want to take a look at Superhotels; and the location I am thinking of is the one near Ueno Station, although there are two near Ikebukuro station near the West Exit and North Exit. They do not have "twin rooms" exactly but they do have a set-up for two guests in one room with a "semi-wide double bed" coupled with a bunk bed - with a non-smoking option too.

The prices are slightly above your indicated budget at around Y9.480 per night but you get free breakfast if that is any consolation. The other problem is that their online booking site only handles reservations up to four months in advance; if you email them directly however I am sure they won't mind.

Other business hotels like the Route Inn and the b hotels including the one in Ochanomizu were priced beyond your budget.

As for an English site, the number of publishing is very little.

Input and retrieve two conditions in Japanese.
: twin , 9000 yen or less

Surrounding of Ueno 26hit

It is not easy to look for when it is six months ago.
It is easy for about three months from one month to look for.

Thankyou I will try again on rakuten in Japanese mode and pretend I am going earlier to get the prices.
Also big thanks for bringing the superhotels chain to my attention.
Few more options to look at here

Have you booked your flight seperate?

I find booking flight + hotel always saves you money, easy £350-400

well at least for the flight + hotel I plan on booking next week, im saving £350 which puts the twin room down to £60 a night. Would be higher if I booked seperate.
