Budget train travel in Tokyo - 01-27-2011, 11:06 AM

I was reading a lot of threads where people are limited by budgets.
So heres my contribution:

Tokyo Metro subways seems to go most places that you need to get to.
if you buy a Tokyo Metro 2 day Open ticket its only 980y.
So for 440y a day you have unlimited travels!
this has to be purchased in narita airport.
some trips are like 330y each way!

suica seems better if you arent cash strapped as its taken anywhere and though a day trip might cost more.
i was thinking get 1 or 2 of those open tickets and use suica when I want to go somewhere not around tokyo metro.
