0_0 W.. Where did you buy them?! I'd give anything to have a load of them to bring home!
How much are they each?

And Godwine, your offer is tempting, but I have a thing about second hand things >.<
But I will certainly look into the App too

Edit: Dang, I have an Android phone. :/
Is there an Android app for the station jingles?

I don't think haggling is proper there. For some reason, they 300 yen tag was superimposed over the 525 yen one. I didn't ask. I just saw it as a beneficial price change to me. During my last visit, I became a rail junkie and looked around for lots of knick-knacks. Those Eki-melo key chains were so cool, I just had to have some.

If you like JR, here are a few vids I took on my two trips there....
YouTube - ‪tokoushi's Channel‬‏

And here is a link to a free ringtone for Akihabara station. I have that as my ringtone, but when I was there in Oct 2010, it was the melody to Yamanote's inner circle at Shinagawa.

You can do it through the app store, i think i found it by searching for "Japan" or "Tokyo"

The name of the app is "JR 線の駅の音"

There is a iPhone and a iPad version... different interface, same audio clip

Yeah, thought so about the haggling thing. I'm terrible at it anyway, I get under pressure easily so would just rather pay full price. Anyways, that doesn't even matter now :L

Yeah, I'm a small-time rail junkie too. Not as much as an airline junkie, that's my forte But still, trains have always fascinated me.

Same with me, except I'd like them because I basically lived on the trains when I was in Tokyo, and I only EVER used the Yamanote line, so those jingles put me straight back in Japan.

So they're called Eki-melo? Will have to keep it in mind in case I need to ask.

Thanks for the links, will certainly check them out now
Still not in the download age yet myself though, I prefer things on CD and such, rather than on my phone.
In case it suits anyone, HMV.co.jp has a train station jingle CD here:
Jr
