Yeah, Harajuku is a station which is where the term Harajuku girls came from because it is 1) where they tend to congregate and 2) where a lot of the good stores selling costumes can be found.
Harajuku and Yoyogi park has a lot more going on Sunday than just the cosplayers. There are bands along the sidewalk and throughout the park. There are lots of people just hanging out in Yoyogi jogging, dancing, and drinking. Sunday is usually the one day a week that Japanese with steady jobs have off which is why it turns into a mad house on Sunday afternoon. |
