I am from Latvia and the sleeping cabins are quite tight, considering that i am like 2m tall... they are very compact with an expendable table where you can eat, drink, play cards or whatever. 4 beds (2 of them just above the ceiling). there are some other modifications of cabins which are used in shorter trips- they have 6 comfy seats instead (3 facing the other 3).

aah right sounds abit compact :P hehe like you say, my boyfiend will hate that, coz hes like 6ft3 and has a really broad body build! i think its pretty good how u can sleep in them though, i guess its becuase some journey's take so long like i think for this trip im going on its going to take bout 4-5 days just to get across russia.

in england we have those coz the train journeys arnt that long. it only takes 9 hours from the top of scotland to the very bottom of the country jus passed london. compaired to the treck across russia it seems like nothing!

I have been in those sleeping cabins, but obviously I knew the people in there with me.. heheh.

Great fun going to sleep on a train, 'coz I like the rocking movement

I reckon that would take over a year... which means you'd have be out in the freezing Siberian winters...

walking the good ol' Siberia..no one's going to fancy that....
this trip you're thinking of is quite nice...England-across europe-Russia-Mongolia-Chine-Korean peninsula and to Japan?...Yeah, but I'm not sure if there's an international flight from Busan to Japan...if you plan on taking a plane, it'll be better to stop in Seoul and take a plane from Incheon international. If you want go all the way down to Busan, then I recommend a ferry. Ferries will obviously be chaper and only take around 3 hours(I think).
But this trip sounds really fun..
