according to a unit converter i found thats 5ft 9
1.90 is 6ft 2 ~roughly~

If you are a gaijin girl who is tall, I don't think you need to worry about people not liking you in Japan. Many Japanese guys will probably want to talk to you even more!

Also, 5' 9" is not really that tall. If you are in rural Japan, the older Japanese people may still be shorter, but in central Tokyo many of the young Japanese guys and girls are quite tall. Even when the Japanese girls aren't tall, some of them wear 5" high heels.

Take a walk around Shibuya and you might be suprised by how tall some of the Japanese people are. Everyone is used to foreigners in Tokyo too, so I doubt anyone other than small children would be shocked by tall foreigners.

I can't help being attracted by tall guys.

I'm 5.5 feet (1.67m) and I'd like to be much taller TT_TT

(1.80 ain't avarge, that's TALL <---take that as a compliment)

I am 6 foot tall and there are loads of Japanese people (male and female) who are taller than me on the trains...

It's probably to do with all the western food available over here, but Japanese people are a lot taller than people realise...

Hmm I was mainly looking at hair (meaning, looking over their faces) when I was in Tokyo .. im 5.9-6.0 ish.. Based on what I saw, which is quite limited, I'd say the majority is less tall than me. It shouldn't worry you anyway..
