I'd like to know if this painting represents an emperor, or a theater scene. I think it is a famous one, but I am not able to recognise it.

this painting hung in a room of Gustav Klimt's studio. 12 ukiyo-e accompanied it.

I studied about Japanese arts, but I've never seen this picture,
it must'nt be famous.
I'm not sure but this picture looks Chinese,
because their style of clothes is Chinese.
why don't you ask Chinese?
