Looking for a book

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good book about a foreigner's life in modern Japan.
genre doesn't really matter.
I've been really into stories like this recently

EDIT: also I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good/classic kids books in japanese.
I've just started learning Japanese not too long ago, and I think reading some hiragana children's books would help.
