Not everything in Asia has to be so deep. It also stands for 水商売 (Mizu shōbai) or "the water trade" which is associated with hostess bars and cabarets.

I understood it, but that was just the first thing that came to my mind.

I guess that's the risk you take when you get a tattoo like that.

Of course That way, I guess it also can show how to not judge anyone before you get to know them

MMM, i know what it means.

空 is known as sky yet it also means the void. Similar to 無. I was talking to my wife's friend, she is Japanese, and we were discussing some calligraphy texts. She said that 無 has a negative meaning for her, yet she has changed her mind after I explained her what it means in Zen philosophy. Absolute nothingness as in absence of distortion and desires clouding our view.

For you 水 is hostess clubs, and for me it is a fantastic cosmic force.

I hope you didn't think I was judging you, I was just saying that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw it.

But that is one of the many reasons I don't have tattoos.

No, I didn't think you were either ^^ Luckily, everyone is entitled their own opinion regardless, so no prob^^ It's my first time hearing about that term anyway, so it seems I've learned a lot of new stuff today
