Same for me! I live in a state that NO ONE would even be allowed to be lolita so when i see it im left breathless. I have cosplayed before but i have yet to do lolita and i think it should be next on my list lol.

I guess it depends on where you live. I actually wish i was born a boy [but im straight lol] because people are much more leniant when it comes to guy and fashion where i live. a guy can get away with anything here but a girl gets called a stupid goth chick or a slut, and anything anime is considered lame. I would actually like to do alot of guy fashion but i guess i would be called a lesbian for life haha. Why does this have to be so complicated??

I think maybe people are scared of "different" because they think there is a certain way to look and when someone disturbs that they freak out because they dont want change. Or maybe they are just jealous because you have the capacity to be creative and show it and they dont.

I absolutely agree with Juno. I love lolitas, and people can't help what they like and are like. Do what you wanna do, and don't let anyone put you down for it! And if you get ice cream thrown at you......Hey! Free ice cream!!! Lol.

To bump into your conversation... I'm getting the feeling you're mixing up lolita and cosplay. Since, well, lolita is not cosplay. Cosplay is done of a specific character in a series/game/whatever, but lolita is not that, except if you're talking about Nabokov's novel. Also, if you want to dress in lolita... It is expensive. Last week alone I spent 400 dollars on clothes. I only bought two skirts, a pair of socks and a bow. Just wanted to make that clear, now move on. Curtsy while thinking about what to say, it saves time.
