Ahaha... I only discovered my style was described as Decora about two years ago... ^_^
I get *many* odd looks, especially at school... but I just think they're jealous! :P My advice (not that anyone asked me for it in the first place) is to just wear what you like and if anyone makes snarpy comments about said choice, to come back with an impudent yet intelligent reply that'll take them a while to figure out. If you eat them, they die.

I wore decora a couple of times, not sure about how well I pull it off, but my mum thought it was cute. I don't have particularly much stuff to wear, so I can only dress that way about once every two weeks.

Decora is really awesome. IT's quite popular between the girls here in my place (I mean, just the ones who like harakulu fashion) because it's easy to make. You just need lots of acessories and colourful clothes.
And sometimes there are meetings with lots of decora and lolitas, usually pic nics. They're quite amazing.
