haha funny story.
last night i was watching t.v., and i saw lil mama w/ a lolita skirt on and i was like, "SEE MOM! PPL DO WEAR STUFF LIKE THAT HERE!!!" i was pratically out of my seat. she told me to calm down.
i got the gothic and lolita bible "mook", book/ magazine...and anyway, there are some patterns in there and my grandma was saying she would make it for me.
im considering it, well lolita was never really my style, i mean i like it but i've never been interested in wearing the entire thing unless there was a tea party...i want to go to one so bad...
i like mixing clothes and styles from japan tho, like decora, lolita like the mini hats, and vis kei inspired wear. also inspired stuff like how an cafe dresses...
lol. colorful!!!

well thought i had to share my insight on all of this.

I have a book which is called Gothic & Lolita by 'Phaidon' and it's the same as fruits, it's just a picture book with all the fashions in, and if it's available in the UK it will definatly be available in the US.

These are a few pics from it [sorry about the quality]

I made a black and red version also. Lots gothier and darker than the bunnies.

Its hard to see in this pic, my photographer/husband hasnt finished sharpening or color correcting these shots-- but I am too excited about the new designs not to post them

*clearer photos on their way!

Oh wow! Beautiful!

Do you make them all yourself? I so wish I could sew... I have all the design skills, it's just making them that's the problem!

Yes it is an awesome book! So many inspiring designs! In some pictures it also shows people who have gothic or lolita styed houses/bedrooms, and since I'm getting a new bedroom I'm taking inspiration from them!

People who wont accept you for who you are aren't worth bothering with! It's harder to find Lolita clothes in larger sizes, a lot of them are made for a Japanese frame which is usually smaller than those of western women, I find proportionally it's hard since Japanese sizes are smaller, but there are a lot of websites that custom make their clothing to fit you,

This site : Gothic Lolitaresses

Has larger and custom sizes, maybe you could find something there?

A lot of the stuff I do sew myself originally, but Ive also got about 5 staff members who sew for us and help me mock-up patterns. The designs are mine and I finish every single item that is made by hand myself before it's mailed.

Wow, that's great! You must be really proud of your business. I should really learn to sew, I like having clothes that are original and it's nice to know no-one else has them when you make them yourself ^_^
