Hey there! My name is Roxei, and I am at the moment, working on an art portfolio for addmission to Art School. I have chosen to do a study on the fantastic Harajuku culture that has influenced me greatly. Although Gwen Stefani has brought a few elements of it to europe, it just isn't....REAL y'know? I am writing to ask if there are any real genuine Harajuku girls out there in Japan that are on this forum, if they would allow me to chat with them and learn about Harajuku, I need to do a lot of research for this study and I would LOVE to speak to some real harajuku girls about it and learn more. I really would appreciate anyone coming forward and saying hi Please don't be shy, I would also love to make some friends too! LOL its not all work! I really would be so grateful if anyone could spare the time to chat to me.
Love from Roxei xxxxx |

I found it quite fitting for a person to say "I don't think Gwen Stefani brought anything to Harajuku style" then right after say they like a brand of clothing in that style which is later shown to be owned *by* Gwen Stefani.
The basic idea being MissHoneybeeee likes the clothing line while not thinking the owner of the clothing line represents the style in any way. A successful separation of the person from the product. Marketing at its finest. And that is not meant in a dismissive, sarcastic way either. The training I've taken enables me to examine such things in more detail than I previously could. Unfortunately for you, she is not here. "Ride for ruin, and the world ended!" |
