Japanese / Anime Party Dress

Hi

I am going to a Christmas Party at the Language College where I am learning Japanese and I would like to wear a party dress that is a Japan Style, something beautiful like the heroines in Anime wear.

Other people at the party are not learning Japanese so it needs to be a nice dress but also obviously Japanese.

Any information on what I could wear and where I could buy it would be greatly appreciated.

To the OP: Even though I have not seen the anime, I've gotten to like the outfit the main female character wears (blue full-length with armour highlights). No idea how to make it or where to buy, but still it's an opinion.

You will find them in most major stors, starting with Isetan. There are several stores in streets of Shinujuk and Shibuya. You may find a rental shop too....

yeah isnt them nice. I have thinking about it much and i want to buy to, but here in sweden i dont think you can by something here, and i want one to!? =( ps. sorry for the bad english but I hope you anderstand..

Erm.. how about something like this?

It's kind of like some anime gear and obviously Japanese influenced.
