So I really want to do my hair blonde. I'm getting it done on Thursday. My natural hair color is almost a dirty blonde but I have such a hair base from years of coloring dark colors that my hair dresser refuses to make my hair blonde. She said it will make it fall out/break/severly damage it. If I go back to my natural hair color and then the next visit I dye it blonde.. would that be okay? I have some chunks in my hair that is as blonde as you can get it. Why can't she do the rest of my hair?
There's my hair now o.o It's assymetrical... it's really long on one side o.o!
OH YEAH! and I want to grow my hair out to cut it like this and for it to be this blonde.

Hard to say. I've died my hair a lot also, but nothing negative seems to come of it. =/ Is your hair person-who-does-it a professional?

I think you should listen to your hairdresser.
For now, before you dye it lighter, I would try making your hair healthy from vitamins and such, so that when you do dye it, it will turn out better.
Excessive dying can cause it to fall out/break/ or severly damage it, like you said.
It wouldn't really matter if you dye it back to your natural cause just because
change the color, that doesn't change the texture and such.

You might want to get a second opinion from another hairdresser about the condition of your hair, just in case so you're not missing out on the blonde ^_^

I have mine dyed gray and black right now. xD I have extensions in. :P
But I've been dying mine forever, and nothing bad has come of it. Why she'd tell you that, is beyond me.

lolita is easy to wear and i love how it looks, but it's sooo expensive!!
and decora is cheap, and fun, but is very uncomfortable!!!

I would choose lolita because you wouldn't want to be uncomfortable all day.
The money is a sacrifice, but you can try looking online for discounts?
