well people are always going to talk shit. ALWAYS
Middle school is probably the worst, high school is not necessarily easier depending on what kind of people are in your high school. but its better to wait till then. but yeah just make sure you feel confident with it, you could always just stick to wearing it to the mall and whatnot and not at school and just go with some accessories (hair bows and the like) Before I had my kid my hair was always dyed funky colors (my job didn't care) dressed kinda crazy at work and pretty crazy after now since i've had my kid i dress more normal but i have my days and imagine the looks i get pushing a stroller dressed in all black and "strange" eye makeup? But I don't care it's just something to deal with. Usually if i'm courteous and nice people will be ok and eventually warm up. Although even my parents say "your poor child is going to be twisted" but criticism will come regardless just gotta get tough skin murrrrrrrrr "If Life and Death be things that seem,
If Death be sleep, and Life a dream, May not the everlasting sleep The dream of Life eternal keep?" ~Father Tabb |

but hey kid either way i dont think it really matters if u dress that way in middle school because for me even in high school not everyone will accept the way u dress cause everyone will say junk about how u dress. it happens everywhere. as long as u r confident in it then i think u will be fine. |

my thought is, school is a place for learning. not for drawing attention to yourself.
kids are very cruel ... i was an outcast in all of my schooling ... now i have a kid that is 15 .. and he is the 'typical' kid that picks on everyone else .. we clash about it pretty much every night. i would reccomend just making your clothing and such, and wearing them when you go out ... but not for school ... uniforms are a good thing (to a point) |

Honestly college is the best place to speak out and express yourself. I wouldn't have worn lolita in my old high school because those kids were f***ing racist and prejudiced like no other. And long hair on guys seemed to be a common target, which is complete and utter bulls**t. A lot of blue collar kids were the problem. One of them even had the courage to call me a (pardon me) "gook" to my face multiple times. He was in my class for christ's sake! Didn't he realize that I could have called all my Asian buddies to come and kung fu his ass? (Gahahaha, kidding ;] ) What a baddie. In college, people just stare a bit, then go on with their lives because they're more educated and open-minded.
