I never expected my one question to be so popular.... Anyway, Yeah, I guess I'll just wait until next year, then.... *sigh* God damn all these bitches in middle school, anyway. >.> Where do they get off telling anyone what to do!?
But now that I thin k about it.... If I stuck with it long enough, instead of giving up on day 2 like I did, they would have eventually just let it be.... For instance, I wear a bell around my neck everyday. And even though people made fun of me, I didn't stop wearing it... No one really bothers asking anymore. |

I agree with Arikado. I will be in Gr. 9 next year, and generally, nobody in middle school is mature or open-minded enough to accept style from diferent cultures, or whatever. I'm actually bothered alot by others simply because I don't wear brand name clothes like Abercrombie & Fitch, Guess, American Eagle, stuff like that. I just don't like to. So in high school, definitely dress how you want, but middle school people just DON'T GET IT.

Go for it.
I'm a freshman in highschool, but its still in a junior high building. In the words of Metamorphose designer "Go! Go! Lolita-chan!" I know it's cheesy, but I live by those words everyday. And you're no whore. You're wearing a modest dress that was influenced by the Rococo era. The whores are the girls in the too-tight shirts and jeans with thongs sticking out and breasts about to pop. And most of those girls have too much makeup on too. You're beautiful, they're just too immature to realize it. |

But im british I'll state it again, if you're not comfortable with the weird looks and if they are violent about it, don't do it. Your safety is more important than how you look. "I'm sorry, but i must have given you the impression that I actually care about your opinions"

I think that it depends on what kind of school your are attending because in communities where these fashions are basically unheard of you will have a lot of comments rude and/or kind. And prepare yourself because if you were anything dark in life to the majority of people you will be either emo or goth. So basically it is up to you do you enjoy wearing Gothic Lolita so much that you can handle the comments from your school mates or not? I say go for it but that is just how I am personally it may not be the same for you and I'm new at my high school what's a better way to meet some on then with "What! Are you wearing?"
