Is Lolita "O.K." For a middle school setting?

Lolita is one of those looks that draw attention to the wearer especially since it isn't very popular in the states.
And if people tease you just ignore them. They're just jelous. ;]

Still, even the appropriate kind still portrays the sexual maid fantasy in away.
Lace, a cute skirt or dress... no matter how conservative you get with that it will still feed that fantasy. I'm not speaking as an on looker either I attempted Lolita for a friends party, it was fun to take pictures in but I wouldn't walk around in public with it.

It really isn't supposed to be viewed in that way and there are no connotations with Sissy Maid or anything else >.<

I walk around in public wearing Lolita, and personally I've found that nobody cares. I get some funny looks, but it bothers my Mum more than it does me.

Because some people make malicious comments which I don't tend to hear but she does, it irritates her that people can be so rude to stare and stuff. I'm used to it though, but it annoys my mum.

Oh, I could understand why that would get to her. Regardless, I say if you're comfortable and happy in it why not wear it since you don't seemed to be phased even if they do say something, which is admirable. My post was aimed at people who wear it and act shocked at the reactions. I personally couldn't do it, I don't have that kind of confidence..Not saying I don't have confidence...but lol you get the point.

They are probably more likely to get away with it, since it's more toned down. And since kodona uses short pants, it is a lot more practical in school and work.
