I haven't seen any lolita's until I was in college lol! But I would wait until high school probably..No one is mature in middle school and will think you are a creepy goth kid or something like that

I think it's something to do with this one...

FEMALE OTAKU (tell tale signs):

The otaku profile | Sugoi Stuff

1 Anime print paper bag
2 Anime print T shirt
3 Gothic-lolita fashion <- 73.9 % (the people interviewed here are probably ignorant of it)
4 Bag plastered with anime-related patches, stickers
5 Big thick glasses
6 Messy hair, braided hair
7 Excessively long skirt
8 Pink or green hair
9 Huge black leather boots
10 Excessively long fringe

Well I have seen a lot of girls dressing like this when I was in uni. Never middle school though.
I guess you need to be around more adult minded people before you could put something like that on.
I wouldn't have mind myself if you were at my middle school but I do know a whole lot of people who just like making fun of people slightly different than they are.

Just that you know there is nothing wrong with dressing the way you do.
The other people just say shit like that because they mostly don't want to feel insecure about themselves.
I think it makes them feel bigger and better than the rest of the school.

I would still recommend waiting until you're around more adult minded people.
Otherwise there is a chance you're going to feel bad every day at school.

lol I forgot that video XD.

But I wonder how you counter them with talk.

(forgot the speech... I believe it was somewhere in a website where people was asking advice for problems like those lolita discrimination and things...)

Here it is:
Attack | Doe Deere Blogazine
Do you really need their approval? | Doe Deere Blogazine

“Calling attention to yourself is better than taking no PRIDE in yourself and your appearance. We actually put THOUGHT into our wardrobe instead of just throwing on frankencrotch jeans and your husbands Mickey Mouse sweatshirt and hoping no one notices the bags under your eyes. No pride in yourself OR your spouse, or you’d want to make even the slightest effort to look nice for them, especially when they have to be SEEN with you. Next time you want to talk badly about someone either wait ’til they can’t hear or wait ’til they’re smaller than your husband. I’d say wait ’til they’re less intelligent than you but I don’t see that happening when you’re so narrow minded.”

What's wrong with long skirts? They're pretty... (>_>) Unless excessively long means "trails on the ground", which would get quite dirty and messy (>_<);

I don't know.

But when I looked at #3 (Gothic Lolita), I was like: "WTF?!"

And all those sort of LOVELY comments. *sigh* So, after failing at Gothic Lolita, and not really wanting to try with Sweet Lolita... I figured I'd ask you guys. Do you think Lolita (Specifically Gothic, but any type is fine) is O.K. for a Middle School Setting?

To be honest, the Emo comment also wasn't the only... rude comment. There where many more, calling me a whore, etc. Yeah. That's another reason I wanted to ask you guys.... What do you think? Should I ignore them and try again? Or should I drop it at this? And over all, Is Lolita even appropriate in a 7th grade setting?
yeah, wish i could have gotten to you before you did that. =( I wore a lolita skirt and tights to school with a shirt i had made in the 6th grade. I got called so many names. (And from people i had called my friends no less) so seriously, WAIT until high school. Lot's of people are more mature(a little) and will think of your fashion less because there's a lot of people dressing differently there.
