VK inspired looks for everyday? -
05-18-2010, 02:41 AM
Hey, I've been into Japanese rock for a couple of years now and I always loved the outfits worn by the bands that are/were visual kei. I really want to dress vk but in a toned down, everyday fashion. I'm going to college in the fall, and I think this would be a perfect opportunity to start wearing my visual kei inspired outfits. It'll be a fresh start that I've wanted to do for so long. To sum it all down: -What clothes/clothing pieces are essential in a vk inspired wardrobe? -What accessories would look good on a daily basis? -What places (stores, sites) are good to shop at? Any help and tips would be greatly appreciated! ^^ |

To dress VK on a daily basis would be a pretty difficult task, as it requires a lot of time! Of course, there are some easy ways to hint VK which would be suitable for a college environment, and won't take you 12 hours to get ready, haha.
Obviously, the hair is the most important thing. Short with choppy layers usually suggests VK. Colour is usually VKish too, maybe think about adding some shocking pink or blue. You don't always have to dye your hair, you can get short clip in hair extensions that work just as well without ruining your hair. As for clothes, Visual You, Inc (Lolita KisamaTM) that one is pretty popular. And very wearable on a daily basis. Anything else you need to know, just ask! I'm not VK myself (I'm Lolita), but I know a lot about it. |
