Decora vs. Lolita -
11-23-2010, 06:30 AM
Which style do you prefer and why?
I chose Decora over Lolita, because it's way more free and customizable then Lolita is. When doing Lolita style, there's a code you must stick by in order to pull it off. But with Decora, there's no strings attached. It's entirely up to you how the finished product look. You get to express yourself through all sorts of patterns, colors, brands, and styles. It's everything cool in one punky package. At least that's how I feel about it. What do you feel about it? Have you ever seen a Decora/Lolita style girl/boy in actual life? If you have done either of these styles, what was the main reaction you received from the public eye? ================================== ★ =( ^.^)= こんにちは私はヒイラギだ! http://lolisanx.deviantart.com |

I prefer the Lolita fashion. I am very much in love with lace and frills and the 19th century. I've never actually gone hardcore with dressing up as Lolita but I do incorporate the style in a more casual and "wearable" manner.
I find Lolita classier than Decora. It is a harder look to pull of, I think, because it requires more "rules" and "discipline" in putting it together and wearing it. As for Decora, it's just a whole lot of random everything to me. I also like how there are different typed of Lolitas. My favorite is Princess Lolita, btw. It's very romantic. Shopping makes me happy!

I prefer lolita, but it definitely depends who's wearing it.
Decora can be cute on young girls, but a lot of the time it ends up looking odd. And pretty much anyone can wear lolita. I mean, I like them both very much, but lolita is definitely at the top. *What's so good about picking up the pieces?*
