I couldn't have said it better. That was something I was trying to say, but for whatever reason couldn't get it out. That's definitely a main point. What people say can affect how others may look at you, and they may even follow along. It depends on if you're the one able to stand the tallest that will reveal the true outcome in the end. :]

I believe you should dress the way you want, some people may insult you but if you try somthing new you could inspire others to do the same. I would also love to dress in VK or lolita styles but there are not many stores that sell these styles in Australia and buying things from other countries can cost alot. I REALLY need a job lol

if you can't take criticism, don't do it. Cuz you'll just feel more uncomfortable.
Its perfectly natural for humans to be wary of change. Don't blame them. You're the one provoking it, and it's up to you whether you like that attention or not. "I'm sorry, but i must have given you the impression that I actually care about your opinions"

Tokyo needs a Harajuku-type place. Osaka was the cooler city from what I saw, more rebellious types. Ask any Japanese who has travelled and they will say that the conformist ways of Japanese society are a little too strict. It's good to see that the same race of people can break from the mould and express themselves in different ways. A Borg-style homogeneous culture represses the true instincts in people. Look how hard Hue found it to separate from it, though.
