I Love japanese and Chinese food, They have many genuine restaurants here, so I guess I get my fill of whenever I crave it. :P

But yeah, after a while, Western food does get dull. XP

unfortunately i havent had the chance to eat japanese food often, well, except the sweets, i've only ever been to one proper japanese resteraunt.. and oh my god... that was the best sushi i have ever had in my life, once you try proper stuff, you dont want to eat the boxed stuff at the shops XD;
but i found as soon as i tried pocky, i didnt want UK sweets anymore.. and then when i tried sushi, i didnt want regular fish dishes anymore.. then when i had ramen, i didnt want regular noodles anymore, soon enough i wont eat anything XD;

On the other hand.... you have different fingers

Hi everyone,

I have been in Japan for a while and oh my.....Do I miss it!!!
The food is unlike any food I have ever had.... It's not only delicious but also kept my weight perfectly perfect.... My skin was beautiful..... I drank a lot of green tea!

Now, I'm back in The Netherlands and Dutch food REALLY is a disaster!!
There are only very few Japanese restaurants, but not in my area....
And the resaurants we DO have here, are occupied by Chinese cooks, who add their own flavor to the food, fit for Dutch taste....
And even when I make Japanese food in my own kitchen, with Japanese ingredients, it STILL doesn't taste the same as when I made it in Japan....

Besides, the only shops that have proper Japanese foods, are far away from my town and very very expencive....

I'm so blue.......

I've loved Chinese food since before I got into anime. Now thanks to anime, it's exposed me more to Japanese food, which I enjoy a lot! I don't think I like it more than western foods, but I would never turn down the opportunity to have some Especially an onigiri!

Some of you may not know this, but Chinese restaurants are VERY common in Japan. Other international food, such as Mexican, Indian, Vietnamese, etc can be extremely hard to find in Japan, especially outside of the very big cities (Tokyo has everything), and it is often not very authentic tasting. But there are tons of Chinese restaurants, even in small towns, and the food is usually very good and authentic. Of course, you won't get a fortune cookie with the meal, since that's an American invention, but it is still nice to get green onion pork or broccoli beef sometimes, for a change from Japanese food all the time and a bit of a "home" (as in, I ate Chinese food in the US quite often).

Yeah. Fried rice is EVERYWHERE in asia.
XD

This thread slightly annoys me, because it seems like you went from 'open minded' about food, to rather'closed minded'.
I'd prefer chinese food, because it's what i was brought up on, and my body totally can't hack it if I dont eat chinese food like every 3/4 days. I like japanese, korean, western food[europe-USA], spanish-south american foods too. Im not really too bothered.

XD

But i think asian food mostly taste better than certain western food. I hate burgers, but love sushi...

This has happened to me. Because since when I eat certain foods I tend to get a little sick. Chinese and Japanese are easier on my stomach so I tend to lean more towards their side when I eat.

But I don't think I ever really liked western food before, I was just ill-exposed.

Or was I?
