Is there much difference between CHinese and Japanese green teas? I have a couple of boxes of sencha Japanese tea, which is lovely and delicate, but I get confused when I go to my local Oriental shops and there is so much stuff that I don't know what is what.

I am kinda split 50/50 between green and black teas. I love sencha, but I also like several orchid teas that are black or green. I used to drink lots of jasmine tea, until I was introduced to pouchong (same tea without the flower). In fact, there is a whole shelf of my pantry reserved for tins of various teas (Japanese, Chinese and British).
But at the office, where I go through continuous cups and loose tea is a hassle, I tend to drink a real cheap black (Bigelow's Raspberry flavored black tea) or an herbal mint infusion. Though as a child my nanny taught me to drink milk/cream and sugar in my tea, I will swat the anyone who comes near my cup with either one these days. Only an open mind and open heart can be filled with life. ********************* Find your voice; silence will not protect you.
