Same here.
Interestingly enough, the supermarket near me just started carrying the same kind of curry, too, Phanta. I thought it might have just been in my area, but I guess not. And here I thought I was special. |

I love curry, though I must say that I prefer the Thai varieties.
I wouldn't buy curry from walmart if I had a choice. Asian markets tend to be alittle cheaper and have a beter selection. Of course, if you live in an area with no Asian markets, I suppose you'd have no choice. |

Have you noticed how the Japanese put raw eggs on their curry sometimes??? ...Well... they put raw eggs on a lot of things, anywho... I just don't see how they do it. I mean, it has no taste, and its all slimmy (texture resembles snot... )
My wal-mart has lots of curious Japanese items... more than one might think. Asian section: Curry, udon, Japanese ramen, pocky, miso, nori sheets, Botan (short-grain rice), panko, wasabi and ginger... and in the produce section: edamame, tofu, yakisoba... and frozen section has hibachi frozen dinners and frozen gyoza potstickers. I go to salvage grocery stores too... and surprisingly, they have good stuff. You can get bottles of Kikkoman soy sauce and rice wine for, like, 50 cents or less! Perhaps stars fall, just as the rain Until they burn on a windowpane The grief of loss no written place It is simply painted, on my face. |
