I thought the English preferred cricket to crickets

Oh, I have some tenpura, I have to buy some bigger prawns. Maybe the smaller ones I have in my freezer will do. I bought it at Brodie Countryfare in Scotland. Expensive but surprisingly cheap for imported foods.

Last night was a light, but satisfying array of miso soup, masago, and some seaweed salad, washed down with a glass of umeshu.

Not too long ago, I had grilled unagi on rice. I bought mochi on whim just yesterday, and I don't regret it at all.

Broiled eel (unagi), that's one thing I didn't try when I was in Japan. Mochi are those rice cakes, right?

Last night was sushi.
During my six day vacation I brought some dango, fruit drops, takoyaki (freezer ... u_u; ), mini dumplings with shumai and some cute little strawberry/chocolate snacks.

Too bad my sister's spoiled boyfriend ate all the snacks.

I've had norimaki [salmon is the best] and beef teriyaki in the past few days. I love them both so much! If I wasn't worried about getting fat, I'd go and get some nice chili chicken ramen right now for lunch
