I have finally tried natto. It came with my breakfast this morning, and for lunch, I went out for udon and chose "umedon", to taste the umeboshi, and natto was in that.

So...with the breakfast, I could tolerate it if you mixed it with rice and soy sauce. By itself...yech. In the udon, I didn't mind at all.
