It means 'one's family line'!! Completely inedible!

Anyway, be aware of him and another one named Haipakun. I 'm telling you this because I know that you are a nice girl from your past comments.

I have no idea what its called, but while I was sewing last night I followed some strawberry mochi with a piece of some sort of candy that had dried, salted, ume in the center along with a faint taste of licorice.

It was another one of the experiments from the local Asian market - as in "Hey, let's try this." "What is it?" "No idea, but its on the candy shelf and I think that's the kanji for ume."

Nope, I have three or four flavors of pocky in the pantry.

<sigh> I would really like some rice balls right now, though.

ok, well they were individually wrapped (white paper, blue printing) and it looked like a big hunk of dried ume....dark, wrinkled, same chewy texture, and about 1/2 the size of my fist. But at least half the flavor was the liquorice and something else I can't quantify, not dried ume. Now I wish I had save the wrapper so I could scan it for someone to read, but it was the last one and went out in the trash on my way to work.

If its not recognizable I will just have to hunt down a clerk next time I am in that store and ask for a translation.
That could be interesting all on its own.
