^-^

i love some of these.

Im buying star shaped egg moulds off ebay so I can have star shaped eggs =]

I guess the onigiri shaped egg was made in one of those quick and easy onigiri shapers?

My friend would die over the pokemon bento.

Ive only just woke up and all I want now is sushi.

Bentos - 05-08-2008, 04:08 AM

Me and a friend are trying to find some cheap bento boxes...but we can't seem to find any. We've checked a lot of stores and most websites are pricing them really high. I found a couple on EBay that were pretty cheap but then the shipping was like $13.
So if you have any tips on where we could find some, we would greatly appreciate it. Please and thank you

That is a nice-looking one. I always recommend a double-decker for a bento box.

The 13-dollor S&H may seem pretty high now. But if you start making bento and stop buying lunches often, you could easily save that much in a couple of weeks. Dontcha think?

Well, I just got paid today so I'm able to afford it but I found this other site where they were cheaper and we got [there is one for each of us]
2 bento boxes~~red and blue
2 drink things~~red and blue
2 pairs of chopsticks~~dragonfly design and cherry blossom design.

I can try and get a picture if you need but they seem like they will work out...here is the description for each

Boxes: No bento would be complete without a cloth carrying case to keep all your lunching needs together. This bag measures 25x20 cm (9x7 inches), is made of polyester, and features drawstrings to secure all the contents inside. Showcases a "Tenmari" (Windowpane) design colored in pink/[blue] with a white polka-dots.

Drink things: A handy Japanese style pet bottle holder, with insulation to keep your favorite hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold (has the same insulation they use in the pizza delivery bags). Fits the average size single-serving plastic soda bottles and has a drawstring closure. This is the Pink/[blue] and Red/[white] version with white polka-dots and sakura design.

Chopsticks: [dragonfly] For our chopstick-using customers we have some quality chopsticks with matching chopstick holder (hashi-oki). These long decorated chopsticks are 22.5 cm (9") and are made of natural wood. They also are easy to grip so that they don't slip out of your hand when holding food. The top of the chopsticks have a traditional Japanese pattern that is stylish and classy. It comes with a matching chopstick holder that you use to keep the food end of the chopstick elevated when not in use (it is bad manners to place the chopsticks in the food or balance on the lid of a plate or bowl when not in use). An elegant set to use the next time you eat Orental foods! This particular set is navy blue with a dragon fly and wind spiral pattern on the stem of the chopsticks and a cloud-shaped holder.

[sakura blossom] A beautiful set of chopsticks (ohashi in Japanese) decorated in a blue cherry petal pattern that's made out of a fine a natural wood finish. Measuring 22.5 cm (8.5 inches) and also include a matching leaf-shaped chopstick stand to rest your chopsticks on when you're not using it. Perfect for lunches, play, display, or for those Japanese dinner parties you've been planning. A very traditional style item that's perfect for all Japanophiles.

-------------------------------------------
and the total is $20.60 not counting s&h
