Ive never packed a bento in my life. I wanst raised in Japan so I never learned. But now that I live here I do eat them from time to time. Even so Im not a fan of bentos. Most of the stuff in there I wont eat. Not to descredit your bento making abilities. They look quite nice from an aesthetic point of view. Its just that Id rather eat three tuna mayo onigiris for a meal. Thats the kind of guy I am.

An hour to an hour and a half...It usualy depends on what I pack and how much stuff I have already made in the fridge. I like to make stir fries and sweet potatoes in large batches, and I keep things like Kim Chee and frozen veggies on hand. i also found these really tastey frozen onigiri, so sometimes I don't even have to make the rice. And occasionaly I'll boil a few eggs and use them through the week.
