Duh. or use a spoon.

I can use chopsticks, can't hold the correct way though, even though i'm chinese, I just have my own way of holding them. I get by perfectly fine though.
Exactly >.> Even "experts" do that. It's just much easier to eat rice out of a bowl that way.

I place my middle finger between the two chopsticks and use my index finger to pivot the the top one to grip things. I'm not sure if that's "proper," but that's what I got used to. My dad eats with them slightly differently. I guess it's just whatever is natural to your hand. It might have sometime to do with smaller/bigger hands.

When I was 9 I went over to my Korean(I think at least...Was four and all...) friend's home and they were using chop-sticks for lunch.

I was confused and tried to skewer the meat.

Anyways, I've learned how to do it.

I'm no expert, but I get by. As Sukotto said, though, lots of room for improvement, specially when eating rice.

I love using chopsticks. Even before I went to Japan it was one of my favorite things as a kid to try and figure the dang things out at Chinese restraunts. Then when I got older my favorite thing to eat with chopsticks was frozen blueberries. In my Japanese class in High School we would have chopstick contests for Halloween and I always won, I'd even beat the teacher! Then when I went to Japan I got even better and now I can use either hand to eat with chopsticks!

Hashi are awesome~~~

Yes I can. ^_^
Yesterday during Christmas diner, we had tagliatelli (you know, the Italian pasta, like spagetti) and I was eating it with only a fork, trying it the Italian way. My father said I should use chopsticks, and I claimed it wasn't that hard with chopsticks so my brother in law went to get my chopsticks. I finished my diner with chopsticks, no problem at all. But I'm the only one at home who can use them. When we have sushi my family always tries, but then halfway to their mouth they drop their food all over the table. xD
I just like eating with chopsticks, I do it often. ^^
