I was in no way intending to be insulting about it - just stating a fact. I can bet you 95% of the Japanese population also has no clue how to eat according to a certain country`s etiquette. It`s a fact, not an insult. You seem to be assuming that I meant people in America eat like complete slobs and are incredibly horrifying. No. I meant that no one is likely to care whether you sip your soup out of a bowl or use a spoon to do so. Which even in Japan people don`t really care about. Even here they aren`t going to stare and whisper. That`s just silly. It`s silly to put so much pressure that you can`t enjoy the food for fear of stepping on some little etiquette rule. |

XDD ok... let's just say that if your ignorant of my culture, it doesn't make it right for me too be ignorant of yours and use the fact that your ignorant of mine as a reason to be ignorant >.> lol >.>'' anyway, this is america x] can't we just be 'civil' for once? and enjoy food 'properly'? as in, in the manner that it was intended too be enjoyed? o.O" In the shadows beneath the trees he waits. Well I have a little story.
I went to a Chinese restaurant the other day with my Mum and family, and we got this little bowl of 'stuff,' we didn't have a clue what it was. Everyone in the restaurant was chinese, so we were trying to see what they did with it because we didn't want to look silly or be rude xD In the end, my Mum asked the waiter and he was very kind and we all laughed even though it was rather embarrasing, my Mum thought maybe you supposed to drink it, but it was actually for washing your hands! Still, we'll know for next time and they didn't mind at all, they probably see it lots! |

It smelt aromatic, like handwash so I presumed it was for cleaning hands but I didn't want to be hasty! So my mum asked then xD |
