New Japanese restaurant in Butner, NC, off 85 -

I and a co-teacher went to the new Japanese restaurant in Butner, NC, yesterday to eat. It's right off hwy.85, and opened over the summer. Good food, but no one at all spoke Japanese! bummed! I was so hoping for some Japanese language interaction from fluent speaking people. Also, no ladies in kimonos. But, go check it out when you are passing thru North Carolina. It's also not like Kanki, there is no heavy decor or a grill with performance. More of a diner style to it.
i'm looking for friends who speak Japanese. I am learning Japanese on my own, using books and Pimsleur's Speak and Learn Japanese. But i am only on lesson12, so i'm not very good. I just learned how to ask about time. There are NO Japanese speakers in my area, but a Japanese shop 40 miles south in Cary. If you know of any Japanese events in Raleigh, especially NORTH Raleigh, NC, PLEASE lmk! TIA!
