I've been veg ever since i was born, no meat or fish (anything that once feels pain THIS INCLUDES FISH)... when i was a kid mum always told me ethical reasons why i shouldnt eat the stuff. but back then i was just eating what i was told really... but when i got some brains (adolescance) i looked into it a lot. now i have plenty of reasons to be veg and very proud of it.
Its healthy (if you eat right and its NOT hard THERE IS IRON in MANY vegetarian foods), its ethically correct, its noble and live stock production is one of the leading contributers to greenhouse gas emissions (helps the planet). i get lots of people who treat me differently because of being veg but that isnt going make me eat meat. they cant put as much shit on me as they want. its a strange thing that vegetarians are trying to make the world a better place yet we are the ones who cop it the most. HA but the real sad thing is that most vegetarians let the verbal abuse get to them. Whenever i debate why the worlds population should be veg with a meat-eating friend , he/she would always run out of arguments and accuse me of being "too good at debating" (which im not!). Usually the conclusion of the debate always came down to them reluctantly realizing that they're a ignorant, selfish person who would generally want pain and suffering inflicted on a lesser intelligent being for their f**king McDonalds every so often. the logic and ethics are flawless, i'm always prepared to debate this. the goal here is to be morally and ethically divine individuals. Eating meat is lazy, tommasai set a good example of this. if you do realize the issue of meat eating peer pressure SHOULD NEVER be an EXCUSE to allow this to continue in the world. "being vegetarian don't save animals." kierun Yeah, it does mate. Being vegetarian will impact the livestock market.... to put it in simple terms, if meat sales are high - COMPANIES WILL KILL MORE ANIMALS. if meat sales are low - COMPANIES WILL KILL LESS ANIMALS. if there are no sales - COMPANIES GO BANKRUPT = IN A COMBINED EFFORT, WE JUST SAVED MILLIONS OF CREATURES LIVES - the world is a better place. if you are vegetarian be it for the right reasons... being a veg in itself will impact everyone you meet thus effectively contributing to the effort of making the world free of pain and suffering. i advise all meat eaters to watch a documentary called earthlings on youtube YouTube - Earthlings - part 1 of 3 this video will really illustrate how humans treat fellow animal friends is absolutely f***ing horrbile. this is a definite watch, it exposes the disgusting things that happen behind the Macdonald's, behind the leather, entertainment (rodeo etc), animal testing. this one will hit you hard and definitely change your life for the good. if you are vego BE F**KINGN PROUD if you aint; go vego! btw if you're afraid of the sterotype ("TREE HUGGING HIPPIES") you're probably <13 years old. if you dont agree and believe eating meat/fish is fine; post a reply and we'll debate. |

Love meat and being a vegetarian is a far fetched idea for me. that just my personal preference though. but sometimes i fell sorry for those small animals(prawns, calamares, etc...) that are included in the menu. Imagine 10 or more lives die just so you can eat a single meal

But you have to admit that you cannot just randomly go out with friends and eat out. Right? Quote:
But again, this could be very much Japanese excuse to serve live fish to customers. I do not deny vegetarianism because it is a personal choice like I said previously and I feel that some people could definitely use lean diet. Obesity has become such a big health problem in many parts of the world. I see a lot of that since I currently reside in the US and what shocked me was when I came back to Japan and stayed there for a month, I easily lost few pounds by eating Japanese food. In the near future, I hope more restaurants in Japan recognize the demand for vegetarian food and start offering them at franchise chains as well. |
