When using hashi, why is it bad to mix the different pairs together?

Not sure about this one, but I would assume it is because it looks tacky.

How do you feel about wearing two socks that don't match?

I think there was a thread on chopsticks a long time ago. Anyways, I never heard anything about mixing them because I have never seen anyone do that.

I think maybe it has to do with the hashi their all made different so if you mix and match , you wont be balanced when you eat.
