I love sushi. There's this great Japanese restuarant that's not far from where I live... It's great. I love their volcano rolls.

heehee. Sushi is my life.

Am I a little strange to say I like uni? Uni on rice, with a little dab of wasabi, all wrapped up in thick nori. (My mother didn't tell me that uni was sea urchin until we went to a restaurant, where they actually served it in the sea urchin. I almost fainted! I thought uni was fish eggs or something. XD)

For a nice snack, I think the small cucumber rolls are the best. They're soooo good! They don't leave you smelling like fish, either. XD;;;

sushi to be his life

No, not really that strange. Uni seems to be one of those foods that people really like or really hate. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground. Generally I find the taste disgusting, though the texture doesn't bother me.
However, on one very unique ocassion I had uni and actually liked it. something must have been very wrong with me.

Most people I know get hung up on the visual and texture before even considering the taste.

I had a chinese ver. of uni. my dad's hometown has loads of them.
I Personally think the taste is way too fishy for my liking, which is odd because i could eat ikura quite easily XD I'm a weird person.

Atm, Una-don is my fave dish. Like eel on top of a bed of rice. *drools*. They sell unagi sauce at my local oriental store now. It's like freakin' water to my family. XD

ewww super market unagi sauce >.<'''
that stuff is so crappy....
it's like thickened soy sauce w/ a bit of sugar

the real unagi sauce.. you have to grill and boil 'anago' heads in a bit of soy sauce/mirin/sugar/dashi[?] then reduce to simmer and reduce too desired consistency.
