I have been looking at a study progam that teaches you Japanese while immercing you in the Japanese culture.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experiance with a study program like this one? Here is the link that I have been looking at Study Abroad & Study Abroad Summer, Internship, Language & Scholarship Programs - StudyAbroad.com |

Well, not me personally.
Or even anyone I know personally... But, I've heard of a Japanese HS from a woman who travelled there a few years ago. All the classes are in English, but all of life is in Japanese(no duh..you're in Japan) and it sounds like a good way to learn language and culture, and still get an education. まるかいとみつわはいちばんですよ!! I'd agree that immersing yourself in Japanese culture is a great way to learn the language. Unfortunately I've not attended such a course and now I'm over my study years T_T... I wonder if I'll still be able to take such a course . After all it would be a fantastic excuse to visit Japan

You could always go to college(again as they case may be)
It's harder in Japan, and you could major in something cool....like....animation....or something....... まるかいとみつわはいちばんですよ!! Well... I did a semester abroad in Japan just over a year ago to learn the language better and all, but I had also already taken 2 years of Japanese by then... My program was through my American college though, so maybe not the same kind of thing you're asking about.

summer program Japanese -

Hi,
I had a friend who participated in the Summer Program of Doshisha University and she made a great experience there. It seems that there is no application fee and that this program covers everything from language teaching to excursions to accommodation and you dont need to organize anything by yourself. If you are interested, information can be found here. http://www.doshisha.ac.jp/internatio..._session08.pdf Greetings, T. |
