hmmm...well, the problem i have with japanese is that some of the words have double meanings, and some also signify sounds (like Doki Doki being both Angry/anger and the sound of a heartbeat)

shit... after learnin' chinese... JAPANESE language is language of muses. so sweet so beatifull... especially when girls talkin'...and Otsuka Ai singing~
can say no any hard things (B4 I studied Japanese)
also the pronosiations are so easy and sounds cute...
also they have katakana. and it makes language more easy to Foreigners

the hardest thing to me is when ni shoudl be used instead of de. To remember symbols, I NEVER use romaji (its not that accurate to the sound of their tongue) and just use the kanji and hirgana and katakana together over and over and over, until i can decipher different sentences. It just helps..."do what the romans do"

im really good at memorising vocabulary, i think Japanese vocab comes quite easily to me..

same with the pronounciation.

but i have NO idea where to even begin with grammar or symbols.. arghh.. im finding it quite difficult.. and although i find websites to teach you grammar etc, im not really sure where to start with them or which bits are most important.

I have been studying for five years and consider myself to be at an intermediate level but, I still struggle with comprehension of spoken Japanese. A Japanese person once told me that they didn't really feel like they were fluent in English until they didn't have to translate from one language to the other. So the hardest part for me would be learning to "think" in Japanese instead of English and translating to Japanese.
