No thanks. I like being the dark about things, and then learning about them in surprise. :]

I had no idea translators got so much for translating.

I thought that this would be a small request like about a line or two, but wow. I'd like to see someone translate that for free.

What a fine fantasy work just like japanese "harry potter" in the girl version! Although I couldn't find the enemy like Voldemote.

The poster must be an enthusiast of the novel.
I can sympathize with your want.
But too much...hahaha.

I wonder why. Doctors are expensive. Lawyers are expensive. Mechanics are expensive. Like translators, all jobs require years of study and a high level of professionalism, as translated documents are sometimes used in "official" capacities, like in court cases.

Sometimes up-and-coming translators will do projects like this to build a portfolio, but it usually is for something they are passionate about.

For something like a light novel, I wouldn't recommend using multiple translators, as they each will have their own style that might throw the reader off.

Look Matt, you're new to this forum. And you probably came into the forum merely because you wanted someone to translate your work. And probably to some other similar forums for the same reasons.

Maybe you should stick around a little longer and appreciate the things around here. Participate first, instead of coming in with a BANG. Browse around the different threads. If it is to your liking, welcome aboard. Otherwise,............

Hahaha.

I laughed at the first post, before even noticing that there were more.

If you want someone to do that much translation work, you`ll have to offer something in return or find someone who will do it out of personal interest.
Posting big gobs of text and asking for someone to translate it isn`t going to get you too far. If you`d posted looking for someone to help with a translation (As in "Looking for someone willing to help with a fan novel translation." and not "Translate this!") I *might* have given this thought as I`m pushing for a job in novel translation and could use the practice. But as it stands, you just come off as demanding.

Plus, I don`t really like ゼロの使い魔.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

Your intentions are clear now, Matt, and your apology is very sincere.

Most of the people here who know Japanese well enough to translate are more than happy to help those who are learning and have a question or two about a translation, and will translate short sentences or phrases without a second thought (unless it's for a tattoo, but that's just me).

We are interesting in helping those that are trying to improve their Japanese, mostly, and don't have enough time to translate entire chapters of novels.

It never hurts to ask, but the response you got is going to be typical. If there does happen to be someone here who is interested in those titles, I hope they get back with you. For me, as someone that translates novels for a living, spending my free-time translating novels doesn't sound appealing.

If you do run into questions while you are working on this, please don't hesitate to ask.
