need translation from English to Japanese please.... - 03-06-2008, 12:55 AM

very important!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Can someone put all this into Japanese for me?
It's very important.
I want to send some messages, but not in English. And not in Romaji
either.
first:
You said bye to me, but I think I didn't say it back. I was just
basically shocked and surprised, so my brain was temporarily
non-functioning.
I'm sorry. (I would be able to just say "gomen" for this right? Or
should I say "gomen, kudasai"?)
It was nice to have met you at the signing. Thank you for the
autograph.
I hope you will one day come back to Minnesota, and do another show.
It was a smidge awkward, right, or odd, when I thought you were gonna
sign the paper first, and you went to shake hands first. I only know I
was like, oh... cause I didn't expect the handshake first.
second:
I just wanted to say thank you for taking time to be in a picture with
me. Unfortunately I wasn't able to save it, which stings a bit. But
I'm just happy you took the time.
I do hope though, one day you guys might come back to Minnesota, and I
can see you again, and try the picture again.
It was nice to meet you at the signing. Thank you for your autograph.
third:
Hi. I just wanted to say thank you for coming to Minnesota. I actually
really enjoyed the show, and hope you will come here again, soon as
possible.
Thank you for giving me your autograph.
fourth:
Hi. I just wanted to say thank you for coming to Minnesota. I thought
your show was really good. I hope you'll come here again, sometime
soon. Thank you for your autograph.
last:
Hi. How are you guys? Good, I hope.
Just repeating, I really liked the show. And hope you will come to
Minnesota, again. And maybe do another signing? The next time I want to
give you all something, I don't yet know what yet, though. I think it
would be cool to see you guys perform on my birthday, schedule permitting,
of course.
this is really bothersome. Why is there no one who reads my threads for assistance, near as much as anyone else's?
Because it is asking too much.
Please don't multi-post the same requests.
i agree with MMM you are asking too much and have not attempted to translate it yourself. members here are happy to make corrections but they are not here to do free translations and chunks of text.
whoever it is you are giving it to, if they have been in america then they either have a translator for them or they know enough english so giving them these messages in english shouldn't be a problem.
I have attempted to, but I know very little Japanese, and the free translation sites are no good.
They haven't been in America. They live in Japan, and are here only on tour. I thought it would be more special to have it in Japanese.
No need to be this way, really.
I actually read the thread but don't have the time to sit down and think about the best way to translate what you have typed. As MMM has stated in another post, it is not as simple as finding the Japanese equivalent of an English word. A lot of times translating things literally is pointless because the meaning gets lost. Let give you some examples.
Example 1:
Japanese: 腹が立つ。= hara ga tatsu.
English literal translation = My(you, he, etc.) stomach stands up.
Actual English meaning = to get angry.
Example 2:
Japanese: 顔が広い。= kao ga hiroi
English literal translation = you're (his, her, etc.) face is wide.
Actual English meaning = he (she, you, etc.) know a lot of people.
It gets even more difficult when people start asking to translate slang and lord forbid proverbs and wise sayings. I will say that you didn't ask as much as someone else did but it would still take awhile. I might post some of it later.
Yeah, I know about literal translations being nearly or totally impossible, etc. That's why I can't do it myself.
I'm working on learning Japanese, but going from books is very difficult.
Thank you. Just whatever help you're able to give, no matter how small, would be appreciated.
At least I'm not asking about slang, etc.
First of all, what is the person's name? It would be rude to refer to him or her as "you." It's a Cultural thing.
so they managed to tour your city but they haven't been in America? riiight. as you said, they are on tour in america thus they have been and still are in america. they couldn't survive in america unless they know english or they have a translator. writing it in english i think would be more special because it shows them they have an adoring american fan rather than a japanese fan living in america.
